Shawn Waynick:
My name is Shawn Waynick, I am a freshman from Troy, MI. I am thinking about studying neuroscience with a minor in Spanish. Although I'm not in any clubs this semester, I plan on joining some next semester and in the coming years. This semester I played intramural soccer with people I met in my dorm, and plan on playing more sports in the future. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing pickup games of basketball, football, and ultimate frisbee. However, that free time is very limited since I work at a car wash in my hometown, and worked as a little league umpire

John Carson:
My name is John Alexander Carson and I am from Rochester, Michigan. I have been gaining interest in the field of neuroscience. However, I don't exactly know just yet if I want to commit to this specific path. I do for sure know that I want to do something in the medical field someday. All my life I have been a sports junky. Whether it be playing or watching sports, sign me up. I played soccer, basketball and football, and am looking to continue at least two of the three in some capacity here in Ann Arbor. I enjoy spending time with my friends because I have no idea what's ever going to happen. I like staying on my toes and experiencing life as it comes at me. Over the summer I held two jobs which couldn't be more oppositely aligned. I was a landscaper and telemarketer for Allstate. Both jobs had there ups and downs, but ultimately it helped me make some much needed funds for college. Being a freshman, has been both fun and challenging. It has been incredible meeting so many new faces, but the independence and difficulty of school are proving quite the challenge. I am still currently trying to find my ideal balance, but I think I'm pretty close. I have a super great family with three siblings.

I was a big baseball player in high school and still a diehard Phillies fan.
