Upcoming 2017-2018 School Year New Cabinet Introductions

President, William Godley
I am from North Kingstown, Rhode Island and am currently applying to the School of Information. I decided to run for president because Fiji is a unique community of young men who look out for each other in every facet of life, which is something I had never experienced before in my life, so I wanted to give back to the house that has given so much to me. I hope to reboot house traditions that have been lost throughout the years as well as redecorate the house with composites and photos from past years. I believe these actions will aid alumni relations with the house, which we also hope to increase.

Vice President/Treasurer, Fred Eder
My name is Fred Eder, I am currently a sophomore in the Ross School of Business from Menlo Park, California. I decided to run for the position of Vice President/Treasurer because over the course of my freshman year being a part of Fiji was a primary reason why I loved my first year at Michigan. I found an incredible community of guys who welcomed me in and made memories with me that will last a lifetime. By taking the role of VP, I hope to continue to build this great community and give the new members a similarly incredible experience to the one that I had.

Recording Secretary, Joseph Kalas
My name is Joseph Anthony Kalas and I am currently a sophomore here at the University of Michigan, majoring in Economics. Last month, I was voted by my peers to take up the position of Recording Secretary for the 2018 school year. I am very grateful to be a part of this new cabinet, because I care deeply about this house and want to leave it in a better place than when I got here. Additionally, I find it important for us as cabinet to have a holistic understanding of the opinions of our fellow brothers, and as Recording Secretary, I am excited to continue these channels of communication, and help others understand the decisions we as cabinet have to make going forward. Brotherhood is what's most important here at Fiji, and I want to make that everyone is onboard, as we continue the progression of our house.

Corresponding Secretary, Judd Linscott
My name is Judd Linscott and I'm a sophomore double-majoring in political science and international studies with a minor in history. I went to a small private school in Washington, D.C. and chose to attend the University of Michigan because I wanted something big and completely different compared to my high school experience. During rush, I knew I wanted to be a Fiji right after I saw how tight-knot of a brotherhood the Alpha Phi chapter had. I ran for a cabinet position because I care deeply about the welfare of my brothers and future of the house. I feel humbled to be a representative of my chapter, whom I respect and admire so much.

Historian, Adam Branch
My name is Adam Branch, and I was elected as the Historian for 2018. I'm from Potomac Falls, Virginia and plan to double major in Political Science and History, with aspirations of attending law school in the future. My grandfather was an Alpha Phi Fiji class of 1964, so I became interested in the position when I learned about the Historian's role of maintaining the long-standing traditions of the Phi Gamma Delta organization. Within this role, I hope to increase our chapter's alumni network, as well as create an enjoyable physical atmosphere within the house for alumni when they return.
