Past and Upcoming Events

Philanthropy
Freeze the Puck on Cancer:
In the 2017 Winter semester, FIJI participated in the 4th annual Freeze the Puck on Cancer fraternity hockey tournament. Freeze the Puck is a fraternity hockey tournament organized by FIJI in collaboration with Collegiate Charities to benefit the American Cancer Society and has raised over $25,000. FIJI has won the tournament every year since its inception and won this winter in a dramatic shootout over Phi Kappa Psi.
FIJI is happy to be hosting Freeze the Puck on Cancer again this year in honor of a current undergraduate brother who is a leukemia survivor. We will be donating proceeds to Alex's Lemonade Stand, a foundation to benefit pediatric leukemia research, by his request.

Mudbowl:
In the 2017 Fall semester, FIJI played in the Michigan Mudbowl sponsored by the Michigan Mudbowl Club to benefit C.S. Mott Children's hospital. FIJI raised $4,000 for the event, contributing to the overall $50,000 the event raised in total.

Winterfest:
This upcoming winter, FIJI will be participating in the annual Winterfest broomball tournament. The event is run by Alpha Sigma Phi and Pi Kappa Alpha in Pi Kappa Alpha's backyard.
Winterfest is an event supporting the Autism Alliance of Michigan, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources to people with autism and their families.
Last year, our team made it to the semi-finals but fell short to Sigma Phi Epsilon, but we are looking to bounce back in this next tournament.
