My name is Reis Becker and I'm from Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. I plan on majoring in international studies here Michigan and am a part of the club MUSIC Matters and will be joining the club golf team during this next semester. I joined Fiji is because of the opportunities being a member brings, as we work many philanthropic events and I meet a lot of brothers who have the same goals and intentions as I.
My name is Scott Dent and I'm studying biology here at the University of Michigan. I'm from Lake Forest, IL, a small town north of Chicago. In my free time I love playing pick up basketball or any other sports with my friends. I had a brother who graduated from Michigan a couple of years ago and that's a huge part of the reason I'm at Michigan today. Though I did follow his footsteps in coming to Michigan, I set a new path for myself by choosing to accept my bid at Fiji instead of the house my brother was a part of, Chi Phi. Although I really did appreciate the company of the guys over at Chi Phi, I couldn't help but notice the friendly attitude and positive energy the Fiji's had at each rush event. I loved how I consistently saw older guys in Fiji hanging out with the younger guys. Along with this, a huge bonus for me was that I really enjoyed the company of all the kids who also got bids, and I knew our pledge class was going to be hilarious and awesome.
My name is Colter Knight and I am from Ann Arbor, MI. I hope to major in business and Spanish and U of M. Other than my involvement with FIJI, I am a part of a club called PULSE which is sponsored by the University Health Systems which advocates physical, emotional, academic, social and spiritual wellness on campus. I also enjoy going to the recreational building with friends or just hanging out in the dorms. I decided to join FIJI because I could see the strong sense of brotherhood every time I came around the house during rush. When I went to FIJI open houses, I always felt like the brothers were genuinely interested in meeting me and what I had to say. All the brothers seemed like best friends and that they had a great time together. FIJI seemed like the best fit for me so the decision to accept my bid was an easy one.
My name is William James Waterstreet. I'm 25, originally from Troy, MI, and left the Marine Corps a year ago after serving my tour of four years. I transferred into UMich for the Fall 2015 semester as a Junior. I'm studying mechanical engineering. Though I am a Junior, It will take me another three, maybe four, years to complete my studies, as I plan to pursue a Master's Degree before leaving Ann Arbor. I am active in the Student Veterans of America organization here at Michigan. This is a group of veterans like me who have come to school in Ann Arbor. We meet once or twice per week for social, educational, or philanthropic events. I came to FIJI because I miss the brotherhood I had back in the Corps; I miss being part of a group of guys who are always there for each other. Everyone I knew who attended Michigan has already graduated, so I moved to this city knowing no one. I went looking for the best group of guys around and found them at FIJI.
My name is Andrew Maher Rabah, and I am a Cell and Molecular Biology major at the University of Michigan. I am from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. I enjoy solving puzzles and my favorite game is Jenga. On the weekends I like to watch sports with my friends, and I love the brotherhood at Fiji. I like to stay active through a friendly game of tag every now and then, it's a great way to relieve stress and stay in shape. I love all the different charity events we take part in here at U of M; it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Joining the Phi Gamma Delta brotherhood has been an extremely rewarding process, and I can't wait to finally call myself a Michigan Phi Gam!! Prior page Next Page
